On Easter Sunday 1970, Gerald O’ Rourke and Sonny Keohane, both 17 years of age at the time, pose for publicity pictures as they prepared for their attempt to break the world swingboat record which stood at 60 hours.
As it turns out they did break the record!
Did they succeed? I hope they had a few cushions to sit on!
